This 50s party dress certainly makes a dramatic entrance!  Medium weight, black taffeta.  A classic New Look silhouette with a fitted bodice and a very full skirt.  The bodice features a halter neck with an ivory satin and lace collar and a long keyhole opening at the front.  The back is open.  The fullness of the skirt starts at the high hip.  The matching bolero jacket is open in the front and has matching ivory lace cuffs.  Side metal zipper on the dress.
